Q&A: The Interview with John Mgbemena
A: When I graduated from high school I was an athlete. I played basketball, but I was an extremely timid person. I challenged myself to grow as an individual when I got to College. My freshman year in College was when I began modeling and I didn’t know what to expect at Georgia State University. I did something outside my comfort zone which was a Fashion Show. The success I obtained from modeling; print, magazines, and runway shows allowed my acting and music career to begin in motion. I begin acting next, as I appeared in various films, commercials, and runway shows. After that, I started my music career. Some time later I dropped an album called “I hate it here” by Caesar. My music is currently on all streaming platforms and with great numbers of listeners.
A: I reside in Atlanta, Georgia and what I like the most about my city is that it is a Black Mecca. There is an immense amount of opportunities for those who want success, but you just have to be motivated, driven, and confident within yourself. Last but not least, never give up on yourself and your dreams.
A: Tremendously, from the way I carry myself and the way I act. The industry has its highs and lows at times. The industry has made me more confident, charismatic, charming, and lively. Life has been pretty amazing and interesting. I have elevated not only by my personal characteristics, but physically and spiritually as well. “With great success, comes great responsibility.” A quote that I stick by.
A: Thank you. It was a great experience. Its a sign that I am moving in the right direction, and all of my hard work is paying off. Nonetheless, I am ready for it. I am ready to put the work in, do whatever it takes to be successful, and get more bookings from the agency I am signed to.
A: Modeling, because it started everything for me. If it wasn’t for modeling, I honestly would not be where I am at today.
A: My parents and brothers are my inspiration because, we all keep each other motivated and inspired to be the best person we can possibly be. We also hold each other very accountable. Without them, I don’t think I would be as motivated as I am today.
A: Working out, traveling, reading, being active, or watching a documentary. I enjoy learning and stimulating my mind, body, and soul during my free time.
A: More elevation and growth. By the grace of God, you will see me in more films, commercials, modeling campaigns, and more. I will also be making more music as well. My brother Emandagawd got new music on the way coming this summer. Stay tuned for that. I also got major things in the works as well. I may drop some new music also. God has been blessing me very much and I am very grateful. I pray for more success in my life as a whole, from financially, spiritually, to even physically.
