SPOTLIGHT ON BASKETBALL ATHLETE: TYLAN GREEN

Q & A: The Interview with Tylan Green

Today we recognize Basketball athlete Tylan Green (small forward/power forward) of Life University in Marietta, GA. Georgia has become a great place for Basketball athletes overtime. ESPN+ has given Tylan Green a great opportunity to show his skills on the court along with his College teammates in a recent game this season. Next Media Source had an opportunity to sit down with the athlete to talk about his Basketball career.

Q: When did you first start playing Basketball? And what city do you currently reside in?

A: I started playing Basketball when I was really young, at age 4 or 5. I did have a Little Tikes Basketball Hoop goal or whatever, a basketball in my hand probably before then too. Currently I'm in Atlanta, GA.

Q: How has the game of Basketball impacted your life in a positive way?

A: The game of Basketball has allowed me to have many friendships, build alot of friendships with people, and umm, alot of memories with head coaches and just allowed me to have a positive outlook on life.

Q: What do you love most about the sport?

A: Umm, in Basketball I love that you can get other people involved. I also love the winning aspect of it too. And I just love to dunk the ball, or just be able to hit shots, and just be able to be happy with my other teammates and coaches.

Q: What does it take to be a great Basketball Player at the Collegiate level?

A: At the Collegiate level I think it takes a lot of hard work, just continuous reps. And belief that you can go out there and produce on the court and play, just a lot of confidence.

Q: Tell me about your experience this season playing on ESPN+ .

A: Playing on ESPN+ was an amazing experience and we had all the cameras out there.  And you know being on ESPN was an amazing experience for me and my Basketball team. And I was just blessed to be able to be in that opportunity, to be able to have that opportunity and be able to be in that position to go out there and score and produce for the team.

Q: Who is your inspiration and why?

A: My inspiration I would say, one of them would be Lebron James, just how he goes out there and plays basketball and knows where to go and where the other defense goes. I would also say my dad is an inspiration too, him waking up in the morning and going to his job and just continue to grind. I would also say umm, Russell Westbrook as well because he goes out there and plays 100% every time.

Q: When you're not playing Basketball, what do you enjoy in your free time?

A: In my free time, I listen to music, watch t.v. or I watch College Football. That's what I really do in my free time, and just kick back and relax.
